The
forté is made from a heavyweight, waterproof cotton twill fabric
combined with
natural linen, heavy-weave cotton strapping, brass buckles and fittings,
and old oak leather.
Its components are reduced to a minimum, its construction is simple,
and proportions calculated around the necessary essentials of reasonably
reasonable people...
Light yet robust, the bag is expansively supple - and leather has
been generously added wherever time might eventually wear through
resolute resistance.
In the main...
under the grab-handle, the ridge of the bag is reinforced
by a wooden stiffener ... while the bag opens into a deep
and slim central compartment,
fronted by an open document pouch under its main cover-flap;
